Oahu
9/24/2018
9/24/2018 4:30:00 PM

Oahu is "The Gathering Place." It has more hotels, more restaurants, and more major attractions than all of the other islands put together. Our major city, Honolulu, is here. So is the "World's Best Beach" at Waikiki.
Honolulu is sophisticated, lively, and breathtaking. It has more in the way of arts, culture, and entertainment. It has an abundance of galleries, nightclubs, and museums, a major zoo, aquarium, Iolani Palace (the only royal palace on U.S. soil), Pearl Harbor, the Arizona Memorial... the list goes on and on.

The day-time high temperatures in Honolulu during the summer range from an average of 85 to 87 degrees F (29.4-30.6 C) with night-time lows of 70 to 74 (21.1-23.3 C). Winter day-time high temperatures in the city are 70 to 74 degrees F (21.1-23.3 C) and night-time lows are 65 to 69 degrees (18.3-20.6 C). Travelers may want to pack a light jacket and pants for strolling on the cooler winter evenings. Hikers planning to trek through some of Oahu's higher elevations should be aware that there is a 3.5 degree drop in temperature for every thousand foot rise above sea level. Its a good idea then to carry along a couple of layers of light clothing for these higher elevations, especially in the winter months.

No other American city could offer you the opportunity to surf the world's biggest waves, snorkel a lagoon, hike into a dormant volcano, golf at a dozen championship courses, and catch the sunset from a five-star restaurant. All within an hours drive of your hotel room.

The key to enjoying Oahu, as with most of the islands, is mobility. The Bus circles the island for only a dollar. Or rent a car and get out to see the 'real' Hawaii... the gentle waterfalls, and the craggy peaks. Discover the 'undiscovered' beaches. Boogey board at Makapuu. Ride a horse at Turtle Bay. Watch the surfers at the Pipeline. Or sample a little fresh pineapple juice. Have fun! Get wet! This is Hawaii. It's an adventure!

Fanning Island
9/28/2018 11:00:00 AM
9/28/2018 4:30:00 PM

Fanning Island, Republic of Kiribati... your own Pacific hideaway! It was a deserted island when Captain Edmund Fanning landed here in 1798. It took another 50 years before there was human habitation. Two centuries later, there are only 1,304 people living on this remote piece of paradise the locals call Tabaueran, from the Kiribati word meaning "heavenly footprint". Fanning Island is so far off the beaten path, it offers a unique adventure, rarely available to modern travelers. Until now, an occasional yacht would wander into English Harbor. Rarer still was a supply boat. Upon arrival smiles as warm as the tropical sun will be and an innocence rarely found in the busy world we live in will be recognized.

Christmas Island

9/29/2018 6:00:00 PM

Discovered in 1643 on Christmas, Christmas Island hosts numerous unique fauna and flora species, including 14 species of land crabs. It is the location for the mass migration of 120 million red crabs, often called one of the great wonders of the world, and natural adventures, such as hiking to explore the mini cave known as the Grotto, or trekking to Hugh's Waterfall or the magnificent Blowholes along the western coastline. Guests can enjoy lounging in one of the many beaches on the island, bird watching, snorkelling, scuba diving, and fishing.

Suwarrow is a beautiful unique island situated in the center of the famous Cook Islands on the Pacific. The atoll in 1978 was claimed a national park due to its beauty and abundance of bird and marine life. Suwarrow is now uninhabited and just opened its doors to cruise ships in 2014.This tropical destination is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the raw, unfiltered nature and energy this paradise brings. The island is home to 2 people who are assigned by the Cooks Island government to manage Suwarrow. In the mid 19th century a treasure was dug up uncovering $15,000 worth of coins.

Aitutaki
10/7/2018 6:00:00 AM
10/7/2018 6:30:00 PM

This magnificent and remote island is the stuff of which dreams are made. It is a triangular-shaped almost-atoll consisting of three volcanic and 12 coral islets (motus). It was probably first settled around 900 AD and one of the great legendary Polynesian discoverers was Ru who named it Utataki Enua O Ru Ki Te Moana. Roughly translated, this means The Leading of a Cargo of People by Ru Over the Ocean. It can be inferred Aitutaki was, therefore, the ultimate destination, and it still is today.

Raiatea
10/10/2018 9:00:00 AM
10/10/2018 8:00:00 PM

Tahitians believe Raiatea to be the sacred birthplace of their gods and their religious and cultural beginnings. The most important and well-preserved religious site in all of Polynesia is here. It is from these shores that ancient Polynesian explorers are said to have ventured to the far off lands of Hawaii and New Zealand. Second only in size to the Island of Tahiti, Raiatea is today the trading center of the leeward islands. Raiatea is unique in that it has the only navigable river in Polynesia - the Faaroa. The rare, white gardenia called Tiare Apetahi only grows on the slopes of Mount Temehani and nowhere else on Earth! Mount Temehani is also the supposed birthplace of Oro, one principal god of Polynesia. There is a large, protected lagoon around Raiatea and its sister island Tahaa, which produces wonderful beaches and the perfect location for sailing, big game fishing, and diving.

Bora Bora
10/11/2018 6:00:00 AM
10/11/2018 5:30:00 PM

Bora Bora is considered one of the most romantic places anywhere. Dominant from the moment of arrival are majestic Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia, two towering volcanic peaks of black rock jutting out of the center of the emerald-green island. Often shrouded in clouds, these landmarks take on mysterious and mythical qualities. Off-road excursions, bicycling, and hiking into this wild beauty reveal incredible panoramas and valleys. Hundreds of brilliantly-colored fish, intricate gardens, and clear water also create some of the very best undersea worlds. For an exhilarating expedition, swim with and watch local divers feed small, non-dangerous lagoon sharks. Bora Bora has several ancient temples and authentic Polynesian villages. There are also some reminders of World War II with a number of cannon emplacements left behind by the U.S. Navy.

Papeete
